About Us
Our Humble Beginnings
On April 30, 1940 an ambitious group of Mountain Bell employees established a financial institution to meet the financial needs
of the other Mountain Bell employees. Each of the 12 founding members contributed $5, establishing the first assets of the credit
union at $60!
From these beginnings, Junction Bell Federal Credit Union now prides itself on a much broader membership base.
We continue to serve the employees of the telephone companies, as well as several other employer groups outside the telephone field.
Likewise, the credit union's assets original $60 has grown to over $16 million!
Unlike other financial institutions, we do not cultivate commercial lending relationships and a volunteer board
of directors, elected from the membership, rather than an exclusive group of stockholders, formulates all policies.
Mission Statement:
The mission of Junction Bell Federal Credit Union is to serve its Members by providing competitive and
convenient financial products in a professional, friendly, service-oriented manner while maintaining financial security.
